Masks will still be required at all public establishments until at least 11:59 p.m. on Feb. 21, according to lawmakers at the council meeting on Jan. 25.
The original mask mandate was set to expire Jan. 31, but was extended due to the surge of the omicron variant of COVID.
The Montgomery City Council did not take any actions on mandating vaccinations at establishments such as restaurants, bars and gyms.
